Consulting

One partner for everything a school needs to grow.

Most schools juggle five vendors who each know one slice of the school. Edtechtonics is the one stop for all of it — academics, operations, technology, funding, and compliance — with one partner who knows the whole school.

Two ways to work with us

Every engagement starts with a conversation about your school’s actual needs and budget — not a product pitch. You get a written recommendation before anything is purchased, and pricing is confirmed in writing before work begins.

TIER 1 — ONGOING SERVICE: The gardener, not the landscaper

A school pays a monthly fee, and we work with the school community continuously — the way a gardener tends a home garden week after week, rather than a landscaper who arrives once and leaves. Steady presence, seasonal attention, problems caught early, improvements that compound.

  • Data, turned into decisions. Attendance, grades, assessments, and state reports (including BEDS) collected cleanly and read properly — so leadership acts on evidence, not impressions.
  • Teacher growth. Coaching and professional development that fits real classrooms, including training that can qualify under federal equitable-services programs.
  • Student engagement. Watching what actually holds students’ attention and what loses it, and adjusting programs accordingly — for students who struggle and students who excel alike.
  • Technology procurement. Choosing and buying the right tools at the right price — including infrastructure that qualifies for E-rate discounts — and making sure what is bought is actually used.
  • Records and mandate compliance. The systems behind attendance, testing, and state reporting, kept in order so mandates are met and reimbursements are claimable.
  • Funding opportunities. Finding the money that is already allocated to your school — safety funds, mandate reimbursements, connectivity discounts, equitable services — and helping you claim it.
  • Ongoing program innovation. New programs introduced in measured steps, tested in real classrooms, kept when they work, dropped when they don’t.

Pricing for the ongoing service depends on school size and scope, and is confirmed in writing before work begins.

TIER 2 — FIVE-YEAR TRANSFORMATION PLAN: Assessment first, then a plan the whole community owns

We begin with an honest assessment of where the school stands — academics, culture, operations, technology, and finances. Then we work out a multi-year strategic plan with the principal and the whole school community, not a binder handed down from above. The plan sets milestones year by year, with annual reviews so it adjusts to reality instead of gathering dust. Five years, one direction, owned by the people who have to carry it out.

Pricing for the five-year plan depends on school size and scope, and is confirmed in writing before work begins.

How schools pay for this

Consulting feels unaffordable until you count the money that is already allocated to your school and the work you are already paying for in fragments. Four sources do most of the work:

Money already allocated to your school

NPSE safety funds for eligible safety work. Mandated Services Aid reimbursing the costs of state mandates — attendance, testing, data collection. E-rate discounts of 20–90% on internet access and up to 85% on internal connections for eligible nonprofit schools. New York’s nonpublic STEM, math-science-technology teacher, and academic intervention programs. Much of it sits unclaimed because no one owns the paperwork. We do.  The full list is on our Funding page.

Federal equitable services

Under federal law, nonpublic school teachers and students are entitled to equitable services through their local public school district: Title II-A professional development (including technology-integration and data training), Title IV-A well-rounded education and effective use of technology, and Title I services for eligible students. The district holds the funds and contracts the provider — Edtechtonics can serve as that provider and help your school navigate the consultation process that requests the services.

Project grants and foundations

Program-specific grants for STEM, innovative teaching, and targeted initiatives — for example, STEM program grants open to nonprofit private schools, and teacher innovation grants. These fund a defined project, not general operations, and we help schools find the ones that fit and apply well.

What you stop paying for in fragments

A part-time technology director, a data person, a grant writer, and a compliance helper, hired separately, cost far more than one partner covering all four. The retainer replaces fragments with a single relationship — and the five-year plan replaces repeated one-off fixes with one direction.

The Edtechtonics credit model — our proposal

Here is how the cost of consulting can be covered by the work itself. When your school buys services or equipment through Edtechtonics — eligible safety equipment, devices, software, assessments, building mapping, training, E-rate-supported infrastructure — the margin on those purchases accrues as credit toward your consulting fees: the monthly retainer or the five-year plan. The NPSE offer already works this way: submission help is free when you order an eligible service from us. We propose extending the same logic across everything a school procures through us, and adding group purchasing across our client schools so volume pricing stretches the credit further. The exact credit terms are set in writing before any engagement.

Credit terms are confirmed in writing for each school, based on size and scope, before any engagement begins.

Eligibility and amounts vary by school, program, and year. We check your school’s specific situation before promising anything, and we never guarantee a funding outcome — the agencies decide.
